Wake up, The World Is On Fire! by Lawrence Ferlinghetti - SOLD OUT!
Inspired by Ferlinghetti’s book, Poetry As Insurgent Art, Cathy DeForest visited City Lights, the iconic bookstore in San Francisco founded by Ferlinghetti. She wrote a note to Lawrence about her interest in doing a broadside of excerpts from his book. The then ninety-year old poet emailed her back and gave her permission. In the same vein as his book, Cathy went on to found Poets On The Loose, a merry band of folks who offer random acts of poetry on the streets of America to willing strangers. Broadside includes letterpress printed photograph of Lawrence Ferlinghetti by Chris Felver . Wake up, The World is on Fire! Generate Collective joy in the face of collective doom. Instead of trying to escape reality Plunge into the flesh of the world. Sing hello! secretly liberate any being you see in a cage. See eternity, not the other night, but tonight.
