23 Sandy was founded by Laura Russell in 2007 in Portland, Oregon. For 10 years, it was a brick-and-mortar-gallery space exhibiting unique & edition artist books and paper art. In 2017, 23 Sandy became an online gallery, and in 2020, Erin Mickelson, Laura's gallery assistant for 4 years, took over the business. 23 Sandy has a rich and vibrant history.
