Triad is three little zine-style books packaged together, and includes: (1) Typography — a book about the importance of white space in typography illustrated with a variety of black silhouettes and brief sayings (22 pgs); (2) A Brief History of Time — my explanation of how Time came to be and what it means to us, illustrated with various collage pieces I've done over the years (22 pgs); (3) Good Advice From Bad People — featuring real quotes by unsavory people, inspired by the veracity of the Trump Administration, with the reminder that: "Remember...anyone can say anything." (24 pgs) Each little book is printed on a home inkjet printer and stapled (sometimes badly) by the artist. Covers are over-printed book pages and travel brochure pages, all different.

Artist Bio

Lynn lives and works in the tiny town of La Conner in the far Northwest corner of the US. After retiring from the practice of law ten years ago, she began making artist’s books and small works on paper. Old-style cut & paste collage has been and remains a favorite medium, and she frequently also incorporates sewing techniques, thread, fabric, metal, wood and other materials into her pieces. The goal is always to tell a story that might startle, amuse or provoke. Lynn's work has appeared in book arts and collage exhibitions across the country, in books and magazines, and is included in many public and private collections across the country.
