When my grandmother was young, she read books from the Riverside Literature Series. She was the first in her family to complete high school and these works were an important measure of her education. I love to restructure a piece of literature, altering the way it is viewed and read. The Riverside Series featured over 200 volumes, mostly fiction and poetry. The Merchant of Venice is #55. The number now appears on the inside front cover. Today, this series is considered collectible.
