The Book of BonBons came about as a result if my fascination with geometric puzzles. It is a reminder of the need for play and curiosity, which are two well-tested paths to creativity. The images used in the components of this book are taken from my photography and printmaking. Each component is a physical puzzle or conundrum. The viewer is invited to play with them, feel their weight, hear their sounds, discover how they work. https://vimeo.com/177851662
Artist BioFigure drawing, traditional and digital printmaking and artist book making are the favorite haunts of artist Jan Dove. She first started making artist book as a graduate student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her books are in the Joan Flasch Artist Book Collection in Chicago and in the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art's Sherry Grover Gallery collection. She currently lives in Port Angeles, Washington with a guitar-building/musician spouse and a savage watch kitty.
