I am interested in learning more about ocean ecology. One of the best ways I know to understand an issue is to use it as an inspiration for research into an artist book. For this piece I concentrated on the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. As often happens with issues I research, the scope expanded beyond my original bounds. For the fabrication of this piece I collaborated with Shari Wetherby, who is interested in combining different folding structures and unconventional materials into books.
