This illustrated catalog documents three projects based on the artist Barbara Tetenbaum's experience of listening to Willa Cather's novel, My Antonia: the original installation at Reed College in 2010, the multiple part artist book Mining My Antonia and the final installation at the Hoffman Gallery at Oregon College of Art and Craft in 2012. It also includes an essay by Reed College Professor Nathalia King and was supported by a grant from both the Oregon Arts Commission and the Ford Family Foundation.
Artist Bio
Barbara Tetenbaum has been creating limited edition artist books under the imprint Triangular Press since 1979. She is Professor and Department Head of Book Arts at Oregon College of Art & Craft in Portland, Oregon. She recently spent a year-long sabbatical in Leipzig, Germany, conducting research, studying and teaching in the book arts. She exhibits her bookwork and text-based installations across the US and in Europe where her work is held in many public collections.
