Mixtura is the most recent collaborative book arts project between Kathleen O’Connell and Taller 72, Lima, Peru. The title was born under the influence of Peru’s famous food fair, the most important in Latin America, Mistura. Over the course of 10 days, the fair presents the “mixing, joining and incorporation” of different actors in a great cultural festival, serving also as a democratic meeting. We visualized a new book in which each of the 16 artists would be inspired by a kind of food and capture it in a printmaking technique.
