Artist Bio
Lisa Isley is a Calgary artist, a bookbinder and book conservator; her work centers around the book as a work of art. |Lisa has exhibited her books and prints locally, nationally and internationally. Her work is in private and public collections in Canada, the United States and Europe. The history of the book, book structures, decorative bindings, printmaking and typography interest her. She is committed to learning and preserving the historical techniques of the craft. Lisa enjoys creating modern design bindings for texts as well as printing, illustrating and binding her own artist books and broadsides.
