Artist Bio

Jasmine Quinsier has been making art for most of her life. She is a career graphic designer, with freelance clients for web design and print. As a supplemental position she teaches laser cutting, bookmaking and mono printing at the local Maker's space, she has been teaching for 3 years. Jasmine is an illustrator, mixed media, collage artist, bookmaker, needle felter and sacred geometry enthusiast. In the last 5 years, Jasmine has had at least one art showing locally in Northern New Mexico, and up to 5 showings a year. She recently won 2nd place at the New Mexico State Fair, in the adult division for a book as sculpture she made. The book consisted of hand made marbled papers in a gate fold book form. Jasmine works in her studio at least 4-5 times a week. She has been head of 31 Days of Art, an art practice involving 20ish other artists every year to document art made every day for the month of January, culminating in a group show locally showing in Santa Fe, NM, every February to March. We are in our 7th year for 31 Days. Book making has been a miracle for Jasmine, working in many mediums to create little worlds has forged a new path for Jasmine and her art making.
