The idea for this cookbook probably started in high school. I mentioned to my aunt (whom I was living with at the time) that I liked peanut butter and jelly sandwiches thus for one month all I got to eat was peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, not exactly what I was aiming for. I’m a sandwich lover, which is ironic because I can’t eat bread. Over the years I have gathered countless recipes from cookbooks, the internet and family. I have tested and tweaked all of them to be a bit more “me,” so here they are bound into a book. This is my tribute to my inner chef.
Artist Bio
Minali Chatani is a soon to be graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design. She grew up in Montego Bay, Jamaica surrounded by beach, land and one local pharmacy that has everything anyone living on an island could need. Minali has a innate passion for book arts and cooking. She goes nuts for great food packaging (Whole Foods is her heaven) and likes to take time to appreciate the little things in life, like correctly answering Jeopardy questions and feeling your stomach flutter when you drive down a hill.
