Bird Houses by Paul Johnson -SOLD!

Sold
This unique pop-up has no folds. All the sections are joined with dovetail hinges. This enables the pop-up to open and close with ease (no spring action), and there is no paper fatigue. Medieval illuminated manuscripts and the art of South East Asia inspire me. The piece tells a story, but the viewer decides what it is. The brief reflective narrative combines with the artwork rather like an illustration in a book, except that the pop-up is complete in itself, not an episode.
