American Dream by Sarah Matthews -SOLD!

Sold
American Dream is a flag book created by Sarah Matthews during her Spring 2014 semester at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, D.C. Sarah drew from her inspiration of an image of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. pulling up a burned cross from his front lawn with his young son standing next to him. It was a chilling image that made her want to capture what Dr. King's life was like during that time with his family. The poem is a culmination of respect and admiration for Dr. King's work and how it perpetuates into the lives of African-American people today.
