Again Her Day Begins by Katherine Lobo
When caring for a baby and raising a child a day can feel like forever and a decade flies by. This Jacobs Ladder format concertina book can flip back and forth just as one day transforms into the next. Images this book that evoke routine tasks like feeding, mending clothes, and caring for a child may seem so mundane, but are so important. With repetition they become ritualized. Katherine Lobo lived in Asia when her children were young. They used chopsticks frequently and she used to mend and sew quilts for her children while keeping them company when they took their daily baths. To this day one of her least favorite jobs is putting socks on another person! All of these tasks and more are shared among mothers and caregivers on a daily basis across the globe.
