Valerie Carrigan

Messenger Press is the imprint of book artist and printmaker Valerie Carrigan who works out of her studio in a historic mill in North Adams, Massachusetts. Through monotype, relief and letterpress printing, she explores the intersection of the natural world and the human spirit. Carrigan was the 2015 Book Artist in Residence at Maine Media Workshops + College in Rockport, Maine, where she produced a limited edition book titled "The Walk". This work was recently selected for "Formation: A Juried Exhibition of The Guild of Book Workers." Carrigan is an Associate Professor of Studio Art at Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont.
