Our Flag: INKED Art of the Day by Sandy Tilcock

Our Flag by Sandy Tilcock. I'm a huge fan of Sandy Tilcock's work. Not only is she a stellar letterpress printer and binder, but her design sensibilities for the broadsides and books she publishes under her lone goose press imprint are top notch.

Super nice guy Carl Adamshick, who wrote the poem on this broadside, recently won the Walt Whitman poetry award and is also one of the driving forces behind Tavern Books, a non-profit publisher that not only publishes important books, but also distributes donated poetry books to tribal and rural libraries across Oregon.

So delighted to have both of these rock stars as part of our INKED exhibition.
