INKED! Art of the Day: Mare Blocker

Kantha: Julia by Mare Blocker. Today's INKED! featured art of the day. Mare Blocker has two works in the show, both different takes on a similar creative exercise: harvesting images and re-purposing to create new art. The "meander" structure of both works is a crowd favorite and the hand embroidery thrills this artist, who longs for time with needles, thread and paper. Fantastic work, Mare!
