Description
“I must go down to the seas again to the lonely sea and the sky and all I ask is a tall ship, and a star to steer her by.”
When I read John Masefield’s poem, Sea Fever, for the first time, I understood his wanderlust for the sea. As a sailor, no matter how difficult the currents or weather or how glad I was to step off the boat, my memory would turn my most frightening experiences into adventures. I’d drink something warm, sit wistfully dreaming about the next time.
