Hedi’s Dream is based on a story Hedi Kyle told me about a dream she had while she was in the process of moving from her home in Philadelphia. Packing up everything you own is stressful, and don’t we all have a moment when we wish someone else would just take it all away? (Pope visitations optional.) This book was made using a crown binding structure designed by Heidi. It was made using scrap paper from the American Philosophical Society, a institution where Hedi served as Head of Conservation for many years. I used stencils to create the images and text, a technique often favored by Hedi in the classroom.
