Inspired by winning a chili cook-off at my home in northeast Iowa, I present the prize-winning recipe in thirty-nine woodcuts in this hand-crafted book. Starting from scratch, I toast ancho chiles, make vegetable stock, grind beef from farmer friends, add homegrown garlic, homemade tomato sauce and much more . . . The final touch is a topping of spicy sour cream garnished with fresh fresno, habanero and jalapeno chiles.
This edition is the regular edition. A deluxe edition of 10 deluxe leather bound copies of this book are also available; contact 23 Sandy for deluxe pricing and availability.
