Baked Apples by Janet Reynolds -SOLD!

Over recent years, I’ve been talking with friends about necessary life skills, like how to sew a button and to cook and navigate the kitchen. Because my daughter has recently become interested in cooking and creating in the kitchen, I have been reminiscing about my first experiences in the kitchen as a child. The recipe that inspired this star book was one that I made countless times as a child for my family. It is from the 1967 Better Homes and Gardens Junior Cook Book. I wanted this book to take on a vintage feel. The cover is created from a cross-stitched tablecloth that my mother passed on to me. The patterns on the dishes and the outer frames of the pages were inspired by Corningware dishes with the charming Cornflower pattern. The photo on the last page is my mother and me in the kitchen, another inspiration for the book.
