Linda Welch's Concealed Within books are a series of unique, un-openable book objects bound with wax and cord made from mixed media, painting, screen printing, collage, wax. Each book is housed in a matching slipcase. Book and box contain a matching number, word or code signifying the title of each work. We have a rotating selection of this series in stock and would be happy to select a unique piece just for you.
Two sizes are available. This small size for $40 each or the larger size for $60 each, which can be found here.
Artist Bio
Linda Welch is a painter, sculptor and book artist living in Portland Oregon. She grew up in Iowa and lived for many years in California. She received a B.F.A. in Ceramics from Long Beach State and an M.F.A. in Textile Design from UC Davis. Her work is in private and public collections including UCLA Fine Art Library and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
