Alicia’s books are a special addition to Sense and Sensuality. Alicia has been making artist books with erotic themes for many years and her work was the main inspiration for this show. We are delighted to include eight of her miniature erotic editions in this show.

Artist Biography
Born in Denver, I have always lived in Colorado, and currently live and work in Aurora, Colorado. I was awarded a University of Colorado BFA in Studio Arts in 1981 and have worked as a studio artist since then in a variety of two- and three-dimensional media. For the past twelve years, I have incorporated the book form in my work. A familiarity with many materials is invaluable to my approach to the book as interactive sculpture. Expanding the conceptual definition of 'book', I work with non-traditional materials such as glass, porcelain and steel. I have achieved national recognition in this field and work as a visiting artist and instructor throughout the United States. My work has been exhibited in 30 solo and over 100 group exhibitions in the US, Ireland, Austria, Mexico, England and Canada. I publish limited book editions under the Ravenpress imprint. Ravenpress books are best known for their use of contemporary structures based on historical models, erotic content and miniature scale.
